The Minnesota Twins broke the major league record by hitting their 268th home run of the 2019 season Saturday night.

The Twins hit six home runs in their 10-7 loss to the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

For the first time, a team from Louisiana has been crowned Little League World Series champion. Representing the Southwest region in the U.S. tournament, the Eastbank Little League squad from River Ridge, La., defeated Curacao, 8-0, in the championship game in South Williamsport, Pa., on Sunday afternoon.

Aaron Judge’s solo home run in the fourth inning of Saturday afternoon’s game with the Dodgers was a fine sight to see for the Yankees, for a few reasons.

Judge’s 424-foot homer was New York’s first hit of the game off Tony Gonsolin, and it was the slugger’s third long ball in five games.

With Judge’s shot, the Yankees tied the record for most home runs in a month with 58. That puts them even with the 1987 Orioles, who did it in 28 games in May, and the ‘99 Mariners, who did it in 27 games in May of that year.

Yasiel Puig was so eager to make his Indians debut, he forgot to check out his footwear before walking around the clubhouse.

He was wearing Reds flip-flops with his Cleveland workout gear on Thursday.

"My bad," Puig said, laughing. "I came straight to see you guys. You're not going to see that one again."

While his footwear didn't match, Puig's hair was dyed the color of the Indians' red jerseys.

He went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk in a 7-1 loss to the Astros.
